Very disappointed by the news out of San Francisco. Mayor Gavin Newsom, a man who advanced the cause of civil rights in this country by allowing same sex marriages in his city, has confessed to an affair with his campaign manager's wife.
While this isn't anyone's business and it shouldn't be the arbiter by which we judge Newsom as a leader, to see someone you respect have to squirm under the limelight and admit to less than honorable behavior is heartbreaking. Can we focus our attention on the Foley scandal again?

Unfotunately, government is like a business. Even though I don't look kindly on infidelity, we hire politicians to get things done that contribute to the welfare of the country. We shouldn't expect politicians to be role models unless the particular offense is against the laws of the country.
Focusing on this kind of stuff is merely a distraction from the real issues. Foley, on the other hand, was making sexual advances to minors. Totally different story in my book.
Can we focus our attention on the Foley scandal again?
Why? With either one of them, what they did is a resume enhancement as far as liberals are concerned. Of course you want to resurrect the Foley "scandal" because a half-assed issue is better than focusing ANY attention on the vacuous liberals.
You should be happy.
Yes, you should be happy. The only way it could be better is if he murdered the babe he fucked.
Your subtitle reads:
Speaking out for what's right, from the Left.
Which means "Speaking out for what's right by deflecting all attention from the left".
Play nice. There's enough fudging on both sides of the aisle to go around.
(Um...what is a "minor" in D.C.? Isn't the age of consent 17 there?)
Besides, as the ever wise and richer than you are lord BJ told us, it's none of your damn business. Don't worry, GCL. Newsome made a weak, half-assed apology and the liberal media has no interest in covering it. Just like Biden's "clean" comment, the media yawns and it's gone.
That's our GCL - far more important to excoriate a Republican then to actually take issue with the behavior. When we're down to calling out people we want to demonize rather than calling out the BEHAVIOR, it says far more about partisanship than principle. Sad, GCL.
