LIVE: DEFEND CBS

"I believe it was CBS that once said the world would be better off with Saddam Hussein in power."

Um, I don't know if CBS would say that. Anyone else? I'm digging now....

Um...I think I heard him say something like a Senator on some intelligence committee said that on CBS, as part of his Dems are wrong in their interpretation of events (but patriotic!).

If they did say that they are correct. The world was better off with Hussein. Perhaps Iraq was not better off and neither were Iran or Syria who seemed to be put in check by Iraq's power. We support nasty regimes all over the planet, including the Saudis because the world is "better" (good source of oil) because of it.

Marcos, GRT, thanks for checking in and commenting. Marcos, I disagree that the world was better off with Saddam in power, but I do agree that we've allowed other regimes to exist provided they don't threaten our economic sovereignty.

In writing that doesn't sound so bad, the US is a big business like any other multinational corporation, at the same time, our bottom line agenda is costing us too many human lives and that will be our downfall. Karma.

Among several libs who have said it, Jay Rockefeller was the most recent.
